Just WOW!

I have to say that I'm feeling a little overwhelmed.
I just logged in and the first thing I do is look for new posts through the feed of the blogs that I follow and all I can say is WOW!!!
I look at all the hard work that goes into these fantastic creations and keep thinking... can I really raise myself to that level?
In reality I know that I can in time but even just looking through the challanges and the different elements that they are looking for in their entries are just overwhelming for me at this time but I just have to stick with it and keep growing my invertory of embelishments and paper and I know that I can do it :)
Have a great sunday!

Happy Thursday

Well what a week!  Trying to get all of our Christmas shopping done in a matter of a few days was fun! :p
I love my kids but holy heck they are expensive lol.... I remember the days when I was a kid and there is no way I would have gotten half the things kids get today.  I'm trying to teach them that the holidays are about family and being together but they are not buying it so I suspect that when they have their own kids they have to buy for that their tunes are gonna change lol... I can hear them now.... You were right mom, it's all about family lol
But alas for now, all I want is for them to be happy so even though we did not go overboard, they did ok!
Ok, so today I am posting my first card!!
I'm so excited to be entering into this new format of crafting and must say I do like it a bit more than scrapbooking.
So with the guidance of my very special teacher Kerri, I'm hoping to get the hang of it very quickly.
Hope you like :)
Have a great day!

Ok, so I guess this is where I start.
I have been a scrapbooker for a number of years and still enjoy doing it, but my sister in law Kerri got me into coloring.  I saw the cards that she had created as well as other artists online and just fell in love with the technique.  Safe to say that I'm just a beginner and have chosen to start with Prisma Pencils but I'm beginning to build up a copic collection and hope to venture into markers in the near future.
This is my first attempt at a card that I colored and created on my own.  I know that it will take me awhile to even think about being in the same league as Kerri, but with her guidance and support, I am surely learning from the best.
I recently bought a Silhouette Cameo and I'm loving it!!  My husband supports my craft but hates when I drag him into craft stores or ask him to pick something up at Michaels for me... I'm getting the impression that he would rather chew his arm off and beat himself with it than go to Michaels lol.
So, just wanted to say that I am looking forward to checking out everyone's creations and can't wait to finish my project so that I can post it.
Till then, have a great evening and don't forget to smile :)
